The company gives employees in Enrollment a small bonus for every new enrollment, even if the student cancels the next day. This leads to the recruiter doing whatever they must to enroll a student--even lie. They have lied about prices, about what the school can/can't do, etc. DON'T FALL FOR IT!
Then, once you're enrolled, you're caught. Even if you immediately decide it's not for you, you'll have a heck of a time getting your money back.
And if you decide to continue on, you're guaranteed to have many problems along the way, be it late responses, bad information, technical mishaps, etc".
Even then, if you somehow manage to graduate (less than 15% of Ashworth students make it this far), your degree probably won't be accepted in most traditional schools/work/.
Technically, the school is accredited?. But, that piece of paper is essentially worthless in the real world". You'd be better off saving your money and attending traditional high school or community college/.
Back in October, the company laid off 17 workers, including me and people who had worked there 17 YEARS, single mothers, etc;. They took us individually into a conference room, told us, then advised us we were to leave immediately--not say goodbye to anyone or tell anyone what happened?. And we were not allowed back on the premises--ever:.
What a company, huh?
Please...don't waste your money. 1285262

| 3. Written by frustrated on March 12, 2012 from mars hill, north carolina, US 1. Waiting on hold for an hour at a time. 2. Waiting several days for exam codes. 3. Waiting 2+ weeks to receive books. 4. Never receiving return calls from the Registrar's office. 5. No return emails from Student Services. 6. "If you're not happy and want to speak with the Dean's office, write a letter." If you don't mind waiting for long periods of time, frustration and lack of professionalism, Ashworth is for you! |

Everyone is super nice and before I filled out the application, I called around to local colleges where I am and they said they accept pple from Ashworth. As long as your head is in the game and concentrated on the work you have to do, you'll be absolutly fine. I love that it's self paced bc im having a baby in a few weeks. ![]() |
| 8. Written by Shawnee on November 16, 2011 from cleveland, ohio, US I took their Medical Assisting Program in 1993, graduated, paid it off, got my diploma. Never had any further dealing with them until I received a collection letter in the mail today. Now, almost 20 years later, I have been sent to collections? For what???? Seems to me they have some really big issues and are pulling names out a hat to send to collections.....if I had known then that they would bill me again, I would not have done it in the first place... |

| 10. Written by Ripped Off on September 13, 2011 from water valley, mississippi, US This bunch of thugs has been charging me for 9 months now, and reporting my refusal to pay to the credit bureaus. I never received my books, and they have repeatedly refused to send more. They want me to pay nearly $300 "cancellation" to get them to go away. I made agreement that I would start paying if they'd send my books. I did, and they didn't. When I called over a month after the payment cleared, they "Suddenly" remembered....too late. Fool me once, your fault. Fool me twice, my fault. I won't be here for #3. The whole "business" of ashworth is a scam. |
